Every kitchen, no matter how small or cramped, should have a spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a quick dinner. If you think your only option is standing over the sink, think again. There are ways to add a small kitchen table to even the slimmest of spaces, from folding tables that disappear between meals to easy-to-install ledges that create a compact dining area. We’ve gathered our favorite small kitchen table ideas to help you make the most of your tiny space and enjoy more meals in the comfort of your kitchen. Because no one should have to eat standing up.
Also known as a G-shaped kitchen, this layout has an extra counter that extends from a U-shaped kitchen. Use that extra counter area for casual dinners or your morning coffee. Pull up a few barstools and take advantage of an extra dining spot.
Tile isn’t just for the kitchen floor or the backsplash. Cover a wall with a graphic pattern or a tile mural for a vibrant display that’s practically a work of art. Bonus: It’s easy to clean.
A small one-wall kitchen doesn’t need to be the focal point of the space—especially when you’re in a studio. Install folding doors or panels to close it up (and hide clutter) when it’s not in use.
