At the end of the day, the last thing I want to do is come home to a messy home. Often, decluttering can be the difference between a room you love and one you hate. Schedule some time to put away items and get rid of the things you don’t use anymore.
However, you don’t need the latest items to improve your mood at home. With a few simple changes or improvements, you can create a home you love to rest and relax in. Here’s how interior design changes your mood and a few small ways you can improve it.
If you love contemporary geometric shapes and styles, this is the year they will really shine! We reported in 2017 that this was an emerging trend and now, it’s at the forefront of home design in 2018. From area rugs to wallpaper, geometric patterns will be hot in 2018. A great way to incorporate them is through accessories. Throw pillows and blankets are a great place to start.
If you like the rustic look, your Christmas tree is a great way to let your personal tastes shine. Using natural elements such as pinecones and wood ornaments is key here. Stay away from sparkling garland or tinsel and instead use a burlap ribbon to wrap your tree. Clear holiday lights work well here. If you want to incorporate some color, try to use red when possible. Use a wooden angel or star on top for the perfect addition.
