There’s no reason to limit your art display to the living room. Enjoy your favorite pieces as you prep dinner by hanging a selection salon-style or placing them on a picture ledge. Make sure the pieces are protected with glass in case of spatters.
If your island is a solid block without an overhang, using it as a table can be tricky. Solve the problem by installing an extension either at the top or at the level of a regular table.
Transform an unused corner into a cozy dining nook. You can install built-in seating or go for benches that will hug the wall and make use of every square inch of space.
A small one-wall kitchen doesn’t need to be the focal point of the space—especially when you’re in a studio. Install folding doors or panels to close it up (and hide clutter) when it’s not in use.
